PROJECT SUPPLIES:
INSTRUCTIONS:
1 | Mix 3/4 cup Slow Dry Fluid Acrylic Titanium White with 1/4 cup of Slow Dry Fluid Acrylic Carbon Black. Paint entire canvas with that shade. Let completely dry.

2 | Take what’s left of your original mixed gray paint and add another 1/8 cup of the Slow Dry Fluid Acrylic Titanium White, creating a slightly lighter Gray tone. With your trowel, lightly trowel on your new shade to create a subtle concrete look. Let dry completely.

3 | Take what’s left of your second shade of Gray and add another 1/8 cup of Slow Dry Fluid Acrylic Titanium White to again create a lighter tone. With your trowel, lightly skip trowel over your design to create one more level of texture. Let dry completely.

4 | To add the metallic lines, measure out your design and lightly draw out your lines with a pencil. Now take blue tape and tape out your lines in the thickness you desire. Burnish your tape lines. Brush on your Metallic Paint Just Brass or any of GPW’s myriad of metallic colors.

5 | Let dry completely and add a second coat of paint. Let dry and pull tape for your final reveal.

About the Artist
Suzy Dominguez started her design career over 30 years ago. She studied graphic design in Los Angeles and London. Soon after traveling around the world with a backpack for a year, she returned to the United States with a dream. Her first business, Studio Graphics concentrated on graphic design for private businesses as well as commercial restaurants and casinos. There she segued her graphics into hand painting walls. Big advertising murals were the projects back then which quickly turned into faux finishing for private homes. Today her licensed and bonded business, Artkeyologie, is the art of soulful living through paint and design. Suzy, currently residing in Phoenix, combines her graphic skills with her hand painted wall techniques and enjoys infusing her clients’ personalities into every project.
